Chickens were domesticated to be grown in the backyard that freely foraged on grass, grubs, insects plus supplementary feed, which was the natural diet of healthy birds and that’s exactly what we do at GJ’s Farm. Our pasture-raised poultry are the final step in the multi-species, holistic grazing program. They eat locally grown supplementary feed, which contains grains like corn, soy, barley, wheat etc. They never receive antibiotics, artificial growth hormones or steroids. All of our poultry are processed on our farm in our zero-waste processing abattoir.
